LITTLE GTO
Little GTO, you're really lookin' fine
Three deuces and a four-speed 389
Listen to her tachin' up now
Listen to her why-ee-eye-ine
C'mon and turn it on, wind it up, blow it out GTO
Wa-wa little GTO
Wa-wa little GTO
Wa-wa teenage GTO
You oughta see her on a road course or a quarter mile
This little modified Pon-Pon has got plenty of style
She beats the gassers and the rail jobs
She really drives them why-ee-eye-ild
C'mon and turn it on, wind it up, blow it out GTO

Gonna save all my money and buy a GTO
I'll get a helmet and a roll bar and I'll be ready to go
I'll take it out to Pomona and let 'em know that I'm the coolest thing around
Little buddy, gonna shut you down
When I turn it on, wind it up, blow it out GTO
Wa-wa little GTO
Wa-wa little GTO
Wa-wa teenage GTO

COMMENTS
quoted from the book 'Deborah Harry: Platinum Blonde - A Portrait By Cathay Che' - 1999
"Bingenheimer [Los Angeles DJ legend] recalls, 'Once as a thank you, Blondie did a single with me called 'Little GTO', on Bob Records in 1979. It was me singing lead vocals and Debbie backing me up. Because of their record contract, it was credited as Rodney and The Brunettes.' Blondie had good reason to be thankful to Bingenheimer, whose claim to fame in the Blondie story is twofold. He was the first DJ to play Blondie on the radio." |
